Who is behind it

Christopher Martin, in Vancouver. One person, no team, no testers and no intention of becoming a network of sites. He plays cluster puzzles and writes down the parts that hold across boards rather than on one numbered stage.

Why the site exists

Cluster boards are usually described as ordinary match-three with looser rules, which misses what actually decides a stage. It is not the size of the group you cleared — it is the shape of the hole you left, and how much of the board is forced to move afterwards. Almost nothing written about the genre says so, and once you do say it a great deal else follows.

Reply times, honestly

A couple of business days as a rule. Weekends and British Columbia statutory holidays are picked up on the next working day, so a Friday evening message is normally answered Monday or Tuesday. If a week goes by with nothing, the message very likely did not arrive; send it again rather than conclude it was ignored.

Worth writing about

• A board that behaves differently from the way a section here describes it.
• A correction of any size: a stale figure, a term used loosely, a dead link.
• An order for the Cluster Counting Sheet, or a question about one already placed.
• A privacy request under PIPEDA or BC PIPA — access, correction, withdrawal of consent, deletion.
• A copyright or trade mark concern, dealt with as set out in the Third-Party Disclaimer.
